Remote, rugged and breathtakingly beautiful, the Pilbara is home to an extraordinary variety of birdlife.

From brilliant flashes of colour against the red earth to coastal species inhabiting the region's tidal flats and waterways, photographing birds throughout North West Western Australia has become one of my favourite ways to document this remarkable landscape.
