Australia is home to an extraordinary variety of parrots and cockatoos, from brilliantly coloured lorikeets and rosellas to charismatic galahs and iconic cockatoos.

I'm always drawn to their colour, character and personality. Whether feeding quietly amongst the trees, interacting with one another or simply pausing long enough for a photograph, they are endlessly fascinating birds to observe.

This collection brings together some of my favourite encounters with parrots and cockatoos photographed in the wild across Australia.
