The sculpture, is a stylized interpretation of the Australia Defence Forces’ Rising Sun cap badge. It is geographically positioned so that the rays of the rising sun shine directly through the arch each ANZAC Day.

This image was captured the day after Anzac Day, just before the sun rose.
