During an unforgettable aerial photography flight over Shark Bay in Western Australia on 31 March 2018, I discovered a landscape filled with extraordinary colours, intricate patterns and natural formations.
Having been inspired by the beautiful aerial photographs of some of my favourite landscape photographers, I was excited to explore this remarkable coastline and create my own collection of fine-art aerial abstracts.
Flow was captured during that flight, where brilliant turquoise waterways weave through sweeping sandbanks, creating beautiful curves and patterns that almost resemble brushstrokes across a canvas.
One of the things I love most about abstract landscape photography is how everyone sees something different.
Whenever I look at this photograph, I see the face of an animal, almost like a lion or a dog, emerging naturally from the landscape. It's one of those wonderful examples of nature creating its own artwork.
This photograph has remained a personal favourite and has also received recognition in photography awards, making it an especially meaningful part of my fine-art collection.
